We are delighted to announce that the LVMTA received the PMTA Matching LA grant to allow us to present a masterclass with esteemed pianist and pedagogue, John Perry. His bio is below. He will be working in segments of approximately thirty minutes each with advanced students. One or two pieces should be about 10-15 minutes in total length and the difficulty level should be advanced (i.e. Bach Preludes and Fugues, Beethoven
Sonatas, except Op. 49, Mozart Sonatas, except K. 545 and appropriate Romantic and Contemporary literature ). If you have questions regarding appropriate repertoire please contact Darlene Ziegler, dzstudio@ptd.net.

Because of Mr. Perry’s reputation, we are inviting teachers and students from around the state to attend the masterclass. We encourage all students and teachers to attend, you will have a memorable experience!
 

One student per teacher may sign up. We are hoping for a variety of periods of music. If the committee cannot decide on the 6 students, we will defer to Mr. Perry for his final selections.
