Metropolitan Opera Workshop

LVMTA is honored to present a workshop by the Metropolitan Opera!

We are planning to attend the final dress rehearsal of the opera, "La Fille du Regiment" by Gaetano Donizetti, on Tuesday,  October14th (see opera trip page here). The opera is in the bel canto style.

For this workshop, we are looking for 5 vocal students (perhaps a piano student, too), who would like to learn how to create a cadenza in the bel canto style. Please let me know if you are interested! (Details and Signup form below)

The LVMTA is providing this workshop to enhance your knowledge of the opera, but it will also be of interest to all students who would like to learn more about this important style of music.

This workshop is made possible by funds from the Playathon and a grant from the PMTA. Although we have not made the attendance of this workshop mandatory to attend the opera trip, your attendance is highly recommended. We hope that many of you will take advantage of this unique experience!
